The Giant Mine Oversight Board (GMOB) was established as a condition of the Giant Mine Remediation Project Environmental Agreement, signed on June 9, 2015. The Oversight Board independently monitors the Giant Mine Remediation Project, manages a research program to find a permanent solution for the underground arsenic trioxide at Giant Mine, and reports findings publicly, among other activities.
