Quote by Laurie Gault – “I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Sophie Kirby, our outgoing Executive Director. Sophie’s leadership, initiative, and determination—be it in policy creation, financial management or donor development—has forged new partnerships and propelled the organization and its mission to a higher level. The Board is indeed grateful to Sophie for her contributions and for her offer to help support Korry’s transition to her new role. We wish Sophie much success in her new job.”

The Yellowknife Community Foundation was formed in 1993 as a charitable organization that inspires and enables impactful giving in Yellowknife and the NWT. We strive to align donor interests and community needs through evidence-based grant-making, fundraising, strategic investment, public education and community relations. Through the generosity of people in our community, we aim to be a catalyst for sharing, supportive and connected communities.
