On Friday June 17, 2016 twenty six former fastball players in the Yellowknife Men’s and Ladies’ fastball leagues got together to play in a Fastball Alumni game in honour of Doug Bothamley. Doug was a former avid fastball player who was also involved in coaching youth fastball for many years in Yellowknife. The Alumni game provided participants with an opportunity to contribute to the Doug Bothamley Scholarship Fund which is administered by the Yellowknife Community Foundation. It was also an opportunity for participants to enjoy playing on the new re-furbished Tommy Forrest Ball Park which now includes a grass outfield.
