Responsible for preparing, adopting, and monitoring implementation of a land use plan for the Sahtú Settlement Area (SSA), except for lands that comprise a park to which the Canada National Parks Act applies, that have been acquired pursuant to the Historic Sites and Monuments Act or that are situated within the boundaries of a local government.
