The Muskrat Jamboree is older than the Town of Inuvik, with the first official Muskrat Jamboree held in 1957.  This four-day festival showcases a range of activities including dog racing, skidoo races, a community feast, games, jigging contests, log sawing, ice chiseling, drumming, dancing, & more!  Set on the backdrop of the frozen East Channel of the Mackenzie River, the Event brings together people of all cultural backgrounds and from across the Mackenzie Delta to celebrate the change of season after a long winter.
