Robin Greig appointed President

The Yellowknife Community Foundation (YKCF) is pleased to announce that Mr. Robin Greig has been appointed President of YKCF effective July 1, 2019. Bornin Hamilton Ontario and educated in London Ontario (Fanshawe College), Robin isa long-term resident of Yellowknife moving here in 1978 to work for StantonYellowknife Hospital. He has been married for over 34 years to Colleen andtogether they have raised two adult sons. Robinretired after 34 years in the fall of 2012 from the Stanton Territorial HealthAuthority from the position of Director of Operations. He has been actively involved for over 25years in short speed skating at the local, territorial, national andinternational level. He has served terms on both the Yellowknife Speed SkatingClub as the Coach Coordinator and the NWT Amateur Speed Skating Association asthe Coach/Officials Coordinator. Robin currently is a certified Level 2 coachand Level 3 Referee. Robinis joined on the YKCF Board by Laurie Gault, Vice-President, Hilary Jones, ErinDevine, Treasurer, Hilary Jones, Secretary, and Directors Elaine Keenan Bengts,Jason Snaggs, Ian Legaree, Shawn McCann, Sophie Kirby, and Past PresidentBronwyn Watters. TheYellowknife Community Foundation was formed in 1993 to provide interestedindividuals and organizations with a means of supporting projects in ourcommunity for the enduring future. It embodies a simple concept – that peopleworking together can make a difference. To date, YKCF has contributed well over$1 million to charitable projects in and around Yellowknife and scholarshipsfor students from across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
